Handmade, so expect small variations. Every piece is knotted by hand, which means knot tension, fringe fall, exact dimensions and the depth of the natural cotton shade can differ slightly from the photographs. This is characteristic of handmade work rather than a fault.
Description
The Sahara is our broadest wall hanging — built from stacked rows of square knots that open into a deep, combed fringe. It is designed for the wall above a bed, a sofa, or a long console where a narrow piece would look lost.
The rope is worked over a wooden dowel so the piece hangs straight and keeps its width. The fringe is combed out by hand at the end, which is what gives it the soft, cloud-like edge rather than a stiff rope finish.
Because the fringe is brushed by hand, its fall settles slightly differently on every piece.
